Barrow was also the house of soppy-consume corporation Marsh's, which produced a distinctive sarsaparilla-flavoured fizzy consume known as Sass.[183] Marsh's was bought by Purity Delicate Drinks of Birmingham in 1993, and the business stopped making Sass in 1999. Remaining bottles have subsequently marketed for top prices as a collector's product.[
